By Himanshu Prasad Das and his team performed on a public bus last afternoon. working within the structure of invisible theatre, the team 'staged' a fight between a young couple around the issues of commitment, love, dowry ans money. the chosen stretch was between Guwahati club and Guwahati commerce college, and the performance intiated an animated conversation on society, noise, privacy and camera. some fellow passengers, the driver and the conductor intrevened in anger and passion. ...all this inside a crowded City bus.
at the end of the performance ..when we stepped aside and revealed the staging..we got rousing applause..and a lot of energy. "i am a married man...and i feel that people who ask for dowry should be hanged" was the conductors parting remarks
